Welcome to MommyVerbs! This is where we practice engaging each day with action words. I’m Sharon. These are my people. We don’t have to be perfect. Just try to be Pleasant. And Present. We aim to Eat well. Play More. And Choose Happy. Let’s all, Go. Do that.
Sharon is a tired, working Momma, with the obligatory one tattoo she got on her 40th birthday. She enjoys writing about life with her best friend/partner/hubby Fix-it Felix, her kids X and Y and the dog, Good Lucky Charlie. She likes to play it fast and loose with punctuation, much to her high school English teacher’s chagrin.
Sharon (as MommyVerbs) has been featured on The Huffington Post, BlogHer, MamaPedia, Mamalode, The Write Moms and has been Freshly Pressed, which is just as cool as it sounds. She is of course, writing several books and hopes to finish at least one of them in between the daily actions of being Momma! She coaches and mentors a softball team and tries to end each game with the words “I love to watch you play.” She would love to do a TED Talk about… something…someday.
What is MommyVerbs?
MommyVerbs goes against everything that Google and SEO says about blog titles. Because here, every blog post starts with a verb. One action word. So, the fact that you actually found us here, just means it was meant to be! Welcome!
As Mommas (and Dads), we are busy, busy, busy. All of the time. We are always working, whether at work or at home, we are working. So, in the middle of all of that work, we have to find time, … no, … make time for play. Because life moves pretty fast and while we are busy, busy, busy, we have to be intentional about slowing down and thinking about where we spend our energy.
At MommyVerbs, we are on a mission. To be intentional. To pay attention to the action of our worlds. To engage and encourage others to do the same…especially when it comes to health and wellness. What you eat. What you notice about the world around you. And how you choose to spend your time.
Simply: Eat well. Play more. Choose happy.
MommyVerbs is a journey to turn some daydreams into action words.
MommyVerbs is about the effort to honor the actions that make up our lives each day.
MommyVerbs is about paying attention and figuring it out, one day at a time.
Let’s all, Go. Do that.
